DINWIDDIE - A large group of volunteers spent Saturday morning at a church giving away food
About 120 members of seven Methodist churches gathered at Lebanon United Methodist Church on Courthouse Road to put together nearly 23,000 meal packages for Stop Hunger Now, a Raleigh, N.C.-based nonprofit.
The volunteers lined up along folding tables , on thoes tables included rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and containers of a nutrient-packed flavoring mix
Dominic Alexander, Richmond coordinator for Stop Hunger Now, banged a small gong each time the crew finished another 1,000 meals, drawing cheers from participants.
Sheeeesh, what a good dead for the day. People keep up the good work
